Dr. Eric Topol writes convincingly about a paradigm for the direction that health care and medicine will take in the immediate future. His vision, that of the digital patient, attempts to link genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics and a series of other so-called – “omics” with the revolution in information technology that, while long in place for communication and entertainment, is only now ramping up in the biomedical fields.
