“IP Management in the Supply Chain" is focused on protecting intellectual property (IP)--which is often mostly trade secrets--when it is provided to suppliers in emerging markets. Three perspectives will be represented in the presentation: (1) Best practices control steps and processes in the release of the IP to the supplier (Bill Elkington--Rockwell Collins) (2) IP management process assessment and improvement in suppliers (Craig Moss--CREATE.org), and (3) Innovative insurance-based approaches to providing remedies in the case of IP leakage and misuse (Justin Lewis--Ocean Tomo).
