On June 16, 2010, the Federal Circuit rejected a jury’s $250,000 damages award in a patent infringement case. The Court examined the relevance of certain license agreements identified by the plaintiff in support of its reasonable royalty. After considering the license agreements, as well as other arguments raised by the parties, the Court found that the jury’s verdict was not supported by the evidence.
