Description: Assessing value and obtaining revenue for patent licensing and sales can be challenging in the current environment. This workshop is designed to present perspectives on these challenges from individuals with diverse views and substantial experience with the relevant markets, both inside and outside the U.S.
Major legal developments continue to have a significant impact on patent monetization. At the LES 2015 Annual meeting, we discussed recent Court decisions and their expected and actual effects, including in the areas of patentability, valuation and damages, IPRs and other post-grant proceedings, and in fee shifting. Since then, we’ve seen more of the actual effects of recent Court decisions and other developments in the patent markets. The panelists will share their recent observations from the licensing market and patent sale market.
